Every photographer has had a situation where unrealistic expectations have been laid out in a time frame that is compressed. McNally will treat this session exactly as that—a client wanting a variety of lighting looks, done under time pressure, with an array of light shapers. Light with an edge, soft light, and different colors using gels. The big three of light – Quality, Color and Direction— will be discussed while the versatility of McNally will be on display as he rotates through scenarios and offers tips, stories, solutions on-the-fly, and ways to remain motivated and inspired as a photographer... Capturing action in particular can be tricky, and isn't always as simple as just increasing the shutter speed. And for portraits, there are as many approaches to shooting them as there are photographers. There is no one right way to do anything in photography, so Sony Artisan of Imagery Tony Gale will discuss how he captures them. Topics include how and why he uses certain camera settings, and how lens and camera choice can influence the final image.
